From Patient to Advocate
Lila Perry, Founder and CEO of Ripple Effects
I understand the life altering challenges that come with a diagnosis
of cancer or other health challenges. My story begins with a deeply
personal journey. Having faced cancer myself, I gained an inside
perspective on the overwhelming hardships that individuals and
families endure-from the “shock” of diagnosis to the grueling transformative experience of undergoing therapies, including surgery.
The following year, I was faced with another heartbreaking loss-my vibrant, goofy, funny stepdaughter Natasha, passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 51.
Diagnosed with esophageal cancer on January 27, 2023, I underwent 5 weeks of chemo and radiation followed by a full esophagectomy on May 9, 2023. Life changed forever.

Your Health is Everything
In January 2023, my life was forever changed. Diagnosed with esophageal cancer, it was a journey that tested my strength in every possible way. But through the pain and struggle, I gained a profound clarity — a purpose that could not be ignored.
Ripple Effects was born from that experience. I saw firsthand the gaps in our healthcare system, the lack of resources, and the overwhelming burden placed on individuals and families navigating a life-altering diagnosis. I realized that if we don’t all take action — if we don’t change the way we approach health, nutrition, and support — our healthcare system will continue to struggle, and countless lives will be affected.
In 2025, I decided to establish Ripple Effects for Health & Wellness as a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, educating communities and providing essential funding for those facing cancer and other health challenges.
My mission is clear: We need to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to make better health choices before it’s too late.
We cannot wait until illness finds us. Ripple Effects is here to lead the charge. Please help us so that we all have access to a healthier, brighter future.
